Escape your next holiday to Pranburi Prachuap Khirikhan

We decided to get away from Covid and busy Bangkok by taking a short drive to Pranburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan and the lovely seaside resort of Dolphin Bay Resort.

Dolphin Bay Resort is Thaifoodies' go to place to stay for overall value and quality. We simply love to relax and eat along in the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park with an amazing sea view of Sam roi yot beach. Dolphin Bay Resort offers 2 big swimming pools and during the Covid 19 situation the resort has saftey rules for guests who must register for a swim in advance 1 person can swim for 1 hour / 3 people are allowed in 1 pool at the same time. Safety first!

The resort has a lovely garden area where the kids can play around! The Resort also has bicycles and motorcycles for rent. There are over 8 room types available.

You can check out the details at www.dolphinbayresort.com For our most recent visit we reserved the best room at the resort # 26 Deluxe Upper Floor Ocean View, The only room from which you can see the beach from your bedroom! This 24-26 SQM room with balcony includes breakfast for only 1,701 thb / night on weekdays. Our room was super-comfy with a modern bathroom, excellent AC and a very handy work desk.

In the late afternoon on our first day we went for a walk by the sea. The beach in front of the resort is extremely clean and not crowded with people, so peaceful!

In addition to the awesome rooms and wonderful beach access the reason we keep coming back to Dophin Bay Resort is there restaurant, Cafe Loma. You can sit in the comfy restaurant or order room service till 20.00pm The restaurant is doing a great job reducing the risk of Covid 19 with restrictions that follow the Prachuap Khirikhan provincial health office. Every table in the restaurant has hand sanitizer and the tables are at least 2 meters apart. Every staff member and guest consistently wears a mask that completely covers nose and mouth.

We decided to order some room service after our walk, we had a Minced shrimp stir fry with basil, Tom yum goong; Fresh prawn spicy and sour soup boiled with thai herbs, lime, lemongrass & chilli Pomelo with shrimps spicy and sour salad Fresh orange juice. These dishes are all staples of any Thai household but they are prepared to perfection and taste all the better when using freshly caught shrimp! So Tasty!

For Breakfast, if there is less than 20% occupancy The Dolphin Bay Resort will serve an a la carte breakfast which is very delicious. The first morning we had a yummy Omelette, Pork fried rice, Pork boiled rice, Soft boiled egg, Fresh fruits, Toasted bread, Cereal, Coffee and Tea. We had a beautiful morning breakfast along the beach and the view is so wonderful!

For our second night we had to move to another room because the room with ocean view had a reservation, so we moved to a Deluxe upper floor balcony room for the weekday the price is around 1,431 thb / 24 sqm bedroom with nice balcony with a garden view everything in the room is just the same as our first room with the exception of the ocean view. Still a lovely room!

We spent our morning on the beach chasing the tiny crabs around in the gentle surf and enjoying the nearly empty beack. The sand and water were pristine!

We sampled a few more dishes during the remainder of our stay because we are Thaifoodies!

We had a yummy lunch and dinner. Rice noodle stir fried with chicken and soy sauce.

Chicken satay : tender chicken dip with peanut mix with yellow curry sauce served in a huge portion

Pizza Meat lover : Cheesy yummy pizza with mixed ham, sausages, bacon, bell pepper, onion and pineapple!

A must try! Chicken cordon bleu ; Crispy Tender and juicy chicken with bread crumbs stuffed with ham and cheese served along with french fries, this dish is so tasty!

We suggest the fresh coconut juice as well - so refreshing!.

We went to walk to the beach in the evening, it's such nice weather and all was silent except for the calm waves, so very peaceful and relaxing.

For our dinner we recommended... American fried rice

Ending up our review with Bungalow pool view at "Dolphin Bay Resort" We would like to share this lovely room type that has a swimming pool view and this room also close to the beach & restaurant which is very convenient!
