AWESOME BRIT PUB - Huntsman Pub at The Landmark Bangkok Hotel
I've been a fan of Huntsman Pub for many years. I like the atmosphere, the decor, the food, and oh yes the beer. Located in the basement of the Landmark Bangkok, Huntsman Pub personifies your local English Pub right in the heart of Bangkok. Recently celebrating its 30th Anniversary Huntsman Pub has been a staple for expat and local alike for decades.
Only a short walk from BTS skytrain station Nana! Huntsman has a daily happy hour from 15:00 to 21:00!

Reminiscent of a traditional British pub in design and atmosphere, this popular venue is famous for its chilled draught beer, expertly mixed cocktails and authentic pub food such as Fish & Chips, Beef in Guinness, BBQ Pork Spare Ribs, Steak & Kidney Pie, along with Thai classics. World’s top sporting events are screened live on big screen TVs. And for live music, the house band is without equal in Bangkok.
The Thaifoodies team stopped by to sample some of Huntsman Pubs's more popular English inspired dishes and to talk with Huntsman Chef Francesco.
We started out with an English classic the Chicken Pie. A huge portion of flaky pie filled with piping hot chicken stew. Big pieces of tender chicken and veggies in a savory stew, perfect with a pint of Guinness! This is a very filling dish and can easily be shared by two!
Up next, an absolute requirement when visiting a pub - Fish and Chips! Deep Fried cod extra crispy on the outside but hot and tender inside - served up with chips, tartar sauce and sweet peas - Yummy! One of my favorite places for F&C in Bangkok!
A traditional Guinness Beef stew was also on the menu for the day served up in a lovely thick gravy with creamy mashed potatoes and sweet sliced carrots. A lighter choice than the pie but still a very filling dish - just like mom used to make!
An international favorite in just about any pub would be nachos. Huntsman does a wonderful plate with each corn chip topped with beef, beans and melted cheese. Yummy!
Next up was one of our favorites, a big plate of slow cooked pork ribs. These ribs are amazing and a MUST TRY when stopping by Huntsman Pub! The ribs are so tender that hey pull right off the bone and absolutely melt right in your mouth!
Pub Grub is amazing and the bacon cheeseburger served up at Huntsman Pub is exactly that! A thick patty of premium beef, two rashers of bacon, a healthy slice of cheddar cheese topped off with a fried egg - served with chips and coleslaw... Enough to satisfy any appetite!The burger tied for our favorite with Fish and Chips - If you can't decide - get both! We did!
Lastly, the most famous Pub Grub of all, Bangers and Mash! Two large cumberland sausage on a island of creamy mash all swimming in a sea of onion gravy! Stick a fork in me, I'm DONE
We limited our selection to English dishes this visit but Huntsman Pub has a nice selection of Thai food as well so don't be put off if you and your friends want to mix things up from a foodie standpoint!

Huntsman is not usually too busy during the weekdays but in the evenings a nice crowd of locals and visitors stop by for a cool drink in air conditioned comfort - and to enjoy the happy hour specials! There's lots of room at Huntsman Pub with large tables and comfy booths to sit and relax with friends after work.

Huntsman Pub is an upscale destination so expect to pay more for than your typical sports bar. In our opinion it is worth it for the great food, huge portions and friendly service. Expect to pay 200 to 400 baht per dish and between 120 - 350 baht for drinks. Unless there is a band playing the Huntsman is a great place for a quiet drink, in a great location! - Check it out of you are near the Landmark Bangkok - You'll thank us!
