Metro on Wireless - Authentic, Amazing, and Affordable Thai Cuisine by Chef Jimmy!
If you have visited Bangkok and sampled the Kingdom's famous Thai cuisine you will know that many hotels and restaurants tend to tone down their Thai food to make it more acceptable to international guests. This is particularly frustrating for most folks who really want to experience Thai dishes the way they were meant to be prepared. This is not the case at Metro on Wireless where genuine Thai dishes are served as they were meant to be enjoyed.

Metro on Wireless in downtown Bangkok delivers fabulous and authentic Thai dishes in a casual environment at affordable prices. The use of colorful tin trays, ceramic bowls and woven baskets is a lovely homage to traditional Thai cuisine and culture in this homey neighborhood cafe.

We really loved the spicy dusted pork, served on a colorful tin tray and "dusted" tableside by Chef Jimmy himself. The pork was tender and tasty but when dusted with chili and herbs it became a super spicy treat! The green curry with tender beef was also excellent with just the right amount of spicy, creamy goodness. Our roast chicken and pork salad was a wonderful combination of Thai and western flavors, light and spicy - perfect for lunch.
The Thaifoodies team enjoyed everything and were about to give up as we were stuffed but when we heard what was for dessert we perked back up! Soft serve Coconut Ice Cream!
I've had coconut ice cream before but never soft serve. This homemade wonder was incredible. If you have never tried coconut ice cream before you need to, it knocks the socks off plain old vanilla and chocolate.
The Metro on Wireless menu features a variety of mostly Thai dishes but also a sampling of international fare like burgers, pastas and salads for those not inclined to sample local comestibles.
